Objectives: By the end of this presentation, participants will be able to:

  • Describe how a confluence of events has created a sense of urgency around the mental health crisis
  • Explain the steps necessary to create a successful social impact movement
  • Identify the: “Love, Your Mind” campaign developed with the “Ad Council” and the metrics employed to assess the success of a national campaign to change attitudes about mental health
  • Recognize the key components of creating a framework that allows one to monetize the impact of coils on mental health.

About the Presenter: Mark Hyman Rapaport, MD


Dr. Mark Hyman Rapaport, MD, is an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Stanford University and serves as Chairman of the Board of Stop Stigma Together. He previously served as the founding CEO of the Huntsman Mental Health Institute at the University of Utah and as Chair of the Department of Psychiatry at the Spencer Fox Eccles School of Medicine. Prior to that, he was Chair of the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Emory University School of Medicine, Chief of Psychiatric Services for Emory Healthcare, and Co-Founder and Co-Director of the Emory Brain Health Center. Earlier in his career, Dr. Rapaport served as Chair of Psychiatry and Behavioral Neurosciences at Cedars-Sinai Health System and as Professor of Psychiatry at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA.  He is currently the President of the American Psychiatric Association.
